Caring for Kids is a group of moms helping children in need of food, coats, and costumes in
Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Our programs include: Costumes for Kids, Kozy Kids, and Track Out Tummies. Our items are donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Wake Forest.

Hundreds of children go hungry, cold and go without the extra luxuries daily. Caring for Kids objective is to help those kids get back what is not only necessary but to live like a child.
This group started with standing in my attic looking at the all the costumes my children have worn over the years and wondering what to do with them all. Then it came to me that I see so many children come to my door without a costume and it would be so nice to be able to give them one to wear.
It started in a local elementary school and going through the counselors to working strictly with The Boys and Girls Club of Wake Forest. In 2010 we donated over 65 costumes to the club. A lot of smiles were brought to these childrens faces.
We are proud to say going into 2011 that we are finding locations to take the donations. Ammons Development Group will be hosting our bins in there Heritage Wake Forest Sales Center off of Heritage Lake Road. Look for the sign when they will be taking the donations. Right Time Kids Wake Forest location and WJ's Toy Shop (Rogers Road-Harris Teeter Shopping Center) are currently taking donations as well. This page will update you on dates and new locations as they come about.
Read on to learn about all our programs and what you can do to make a difference in a child's life. Although this is strictly to the Wake Forest area, it does not say that you too can not start your own programs in your neck of the woods and we do hope to expand more into the Raleigh area as our programs grow.
